Job  Summary:

In  this  position,  you  will  be  a  team  member  of  the  group  Professionals  Industrial  or  Automotive  of  the  global  SKF  IA&IP  organization  and  report  to  the  manager  of  this  group.


Job  Responsibilities:


  Have  responsibility  for  patent  portfolios  together  with  IP-Coordinators,  apply  and  contribute  to  IP  strategies,  drive  corresponding  decisions,  foster  and  shape  the  portfolios,

  Stimulate,  clarify  and  detail  out  inventions  and  counsel  towards  inventors,

  Prepare  patent  applications  and  prosecute,

  Steer  foreign  procedures,

  Analyze  3rd  party  IPRs  and  do  freedom-to-operate  studies  particularly  for  Chinese  IPRs  and  in  cooperation  with  colleagues  in  IA&IP,

  Handle  contracts  including  IPR,  and

  Adjust  and  cooperate  with  colleagues  in  IA&IP.


Job  Requirements:

  University  engineering  education  or  equivalent  particularly  in  electronics,  mechanics  or  physics.

  Proven  professional  IP  experience  for  several  years  preferably  with  the  qualification  as  a  Patent  Attorney  or  willingness  to  become  a  Patent  Attorney.

  Ability  to  work  under  pressure  and  performance-oriented.

  Management  skills.

  Ability  to  work  in  a  global  team  and  willing  to  travel.
  Fluent  in  English,  both  in  speech  and  writing,  Chinese  and  preferably  passive  knowledge  of  German  and/or  French.
