Summary  of  the  Role:

The  Facility  and  Test  Objects  Department  is  responsible  for  Testing  Facilities  and  Test  Objects  within  Volvo  Cars.
We  are  now  recruiting  personnel  for  Test  Engineer  –  Powertrain  Testing  /  Proving  Ground  /  Vehicle  Testing
Main  responsibilities  will  be  to  manage  all  kind  of  Powertrain  /  Proving  Ground  /  Vehicle    related  testing

Main  responsibilities:

1.Market  analysis  and  evaluation  of  available  Test  Laboratories  in  China.  The  evaluations  will  be  based  on  both  visits  to  the  laboratories  but  also  actual  reference  tests  which  are  to  be  setup  and  coordinated
2.Work  in  a  cross  functional  team  consisting  of  representatives  from  different  Design  Departments  as  well  as  the  laboratory  in  the  R&D  Headquarter  in  Gotheburg,  Sweden.  Together,    need  to  determine  which  external  laboratories  are  most  suitable  for  performing  the  specific  tests.  The  tests  are  ranging  from  full  scale  multi  angle  crash  tests  to  crash  simulations  and  component  tests.  
3.Supply  the  engine  and  vehicles  to  the  testing  provider  and  to  monitor  the  progress  of  the  tests.
4.Delivering  a  quality  assured  test  result  within  the  specified  technique,  time  and  cost.
5.Other  assignment  to  support  testing  in  Facilities  and  Test  Objects  department

Qualifications:

1.Bachelor's  degree  in  Engineering  
2.Experience  from  Automotive  powertrain  testing  /  proving  ground  /  vehicle  testing
3.Minimum  2  years  of  automotive  experience
4.Good  MS  Office  skills
5.Excellent  analytical,  problem  solving,  decision  making  and  communication  skills
6.Fluent  in  English  (verbal  and  written  form)
