Summary  of  the  Role    
As  Senior  Site  STA  Manager  You  will  be  responsible  for  an  organization  consisting  of  Managers  and  STA  Engineers  in  the  commodities  Chassis,  Powertrain,  Exterior  &  Body,  Interior  or  Electronics.

Main  responsibilities
Your  main  responsibilities  will  be  to  provide  strategic  direction  to  drive  continuous  improvement  and  manufacturing  excellence  at  Volvo  Cars  supply  base.
  
The  Senior  Site  STA  Manger  provides  lead  and/or  support  within  the  areas  of:  
?  Ensuring  that  VQE  is  effectively  deployed  and  actions  are  consistent  with  VQE.    
?  Engage  fully  with  CBP  (Commodity  Business  Plan)  teams  to  ensure  Quality  is  a  key  consideration  in  future  sourcing  strategy    
?  Provide  strategic  direction  to  drive  customer  satisfaction  and  quality  improvements    
?  Drive  improvements  in  supply  base  quality  performance  through  execution  of  global  supply  base  strategy
?  Support  Purchasing  sourcing  strategies  and  Supply  base  Management  (SBM)  through  active  utilization  of  fix  and  leave  strategy
?  Provide  leadership  to  drive  deployment  (Direct  allocation)  of  STA  resources  and  assure  adequate  training  is  made  available
?  Prioritize  STA  managers  training  and  provide  timely  performance  feedback  through  the  Performance  
      Review  process
?  Supporting  Site  Managers  –  for  issues  affecting  STA  areas    
  
  
Qualifications  
1.  Bachelor  or  Above
2.  Mechanical  Engineering,  Material  Science,  EE  or  related  education
3.  Proficiency  in  English,  oral  and  written                                                  
4.  Ability  to  solve  problems  in  a  structured  manner                                      
5.  Ability  to  manage  multiple  items  at  the  same  time  without  loosing  focus  or  quality                                      
6.  Have  a  strong  holistic  view  and  high  degree  of  courage,  Integrity  and  business  ethics.                                    
7.  Feeling  at  home  in  an  international  and  diverse  environment    
8.  Positive  attitude,  resolute  and  high  drive  for  results                
9.  Experienced  in  working  cross-functionally                                                        
10.  Have  a  strong  drive,  leadership  and  ability  to  proactively  develop  and  improve  the  supplier  base.                                                            
11.  Excellent  technical  and  analytic  skills  with  extensive  experience  in  supplier  manufacturing  processes.                                      
12.  Very  good  communication  (verbal  and  written)  and  social  skills      


Experience  Required  
More  than  6  years  experience  in  the  area  of  Supplier  Quality  Assurance  in  the  Automotive  with  mandatory    experience  being  Manager  or  Senior  Manager  in  the  Supplier  Quality  Assurance  area.            
  

Competencies
1.  Good  knowledge  how  to  manage  STA  IT  and  quality  tools/systems/processes.                                          
2.  Good  knowledge  of  five  core  tools(PPAP/APQP/SPC/MSA/PFMEA)
3.  Excellent  English  is  required  in  both  writing  and  speaking.
