Summary  of  the  Role  This  role  acts  as  the  Checking  Fixture  Expert  in  purchasing  department.  In  order  to  achieve  company  objectives  for  supplier  performance  improvement  and  successful  APQP/PPAP,  the  main  tasks  include  but  not  limited  to  tooling  design  review,  tooling  build  review,  tooling  acceptance  review,  tooling  supplier  audit/certification,  tooling  problem  solving.  

Main  responsibilities

1.  Lead  tooling  supplier  evaluation  and  certification
2.  Lead  certified  tooling  supplier  database  establishment  and  maintenance
3.  Provide  expertise  in  tooling  supplier  choice
4.  Support  tooling  concept  and  design  review  to  secure  compliance  of  product  design  requirement
5.  Support  tooling  build  process  review  to  secure  tooling  quality  and  timing
6.  Provide  support  and  expertise  in  tooling  acceptance
7.  Support  tooling  problem  solving  
8.  Lead  tooling  supplier  assessment  process  establishment  and  update  
9.  As  China  tooling  specialist,  cooperate  with  HQ  tooling  specialist  to  develop  and  align  process  and  procedure  related  to  tooling  and  tooling  supplier
10.  Provide  support  and  expertise  to  STA  engineer  as  for  successful  APQP,  PPAP  and  flawless  launch
11.  Perform  other  duties  as  assigned  by  direct  supervisor    

Qualifications  

1.  Bachelor  or  Above
2.  Mechanical  Engineering,  Material  Science  or  related  technical  education
3.  Proficiency  in  English,  oral  and  written      
4.  Drive  solving  of  problems  and  concerns  and  implement  work  plan  within  the  area  of  expertise  and  specialist  competence    
5.  Ability  to  manage  multiple  items  at  the  same  time  without  loosing  focus  or  quality      
6.  Have  a  strong  holistic  view  and  high  degree  of  courage,  Integrity  and  business  ethics    
7.  Feeling  at  home  in  an  international  and  diverse  environment  
8.  Positive  attitude,  resolute  and  high  drive  for  results    
9.  Experienced  in  working  cross-functionally        
10.  Have  a  strong  drive,  leadership  and  ability  to  proactively  develop  and  improve  the  supplier  base        
11.  Very  good  communication  (verbal  and  written)  and  social  skills  
12.  Frequently  travel  is  required    

Experience  Required  

1.  At  least  6  years  of  automotive  Checking  Fixture  experience  either  at  tool  maker  or  as  a  checking  fixture/gage  engineer.    
2.  Experience  of  a  number  of  program  launch.

Competencies

1.  Basic  knowledge  of  APQP/PPAP/MSA      
2.  Good  knowledge  and  practice  of  GD&T      
3.  Good  problem  solving  skill
4.  Deep  understanding  of  automotive  drawing,  specification  and  requirement.
5.  Good  PC  and  software  skill.
